PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team continues Ivy League play with a pair of matches over the weekend. The Quakers will host both matches at the Hamlin Tennis Centers on Saturday and Sunday, first serve for both days is set for 1 p.m.
Penn will look to avenge a pair of ECAC Championship losses to Brown and Yale earlier this season.

Women's Tennis opened up the weekend with its first Ivy League win on Friday, a 4-2 victory at Cornell. The Quakers took the doubles point with
Eileen Wang and
Juliana Munhoz winning 6-2 at #1 doubles and
Gavriella Smith and
Saige Roshkoff clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win at #3 doubles.
Maya Urata gave Penn a 2-0 lead with a two-set win at #5 singles. After Cornell won the next two singles matches, Roshkoff won at #6 singles and
Iris Gallo clinched the match victory winning the second and third set. Penn closed out the weekend with a 4-0 loss to Columbia. The Quakers managed just one set victory in a match that was abandoned.
Previewing the opponents
Yale is currently 1-2 in Ivy League play following a 4-0 win over Dartmouth on Sunday. The Bulldogs clinched the opening point with doubles wins at #1 and #2 doubles. Singles wins at #1, #4, and #5 led the home team to a 4-0 Ivy League victory. The win over Dartmouth ended a six-match losing streak. Yale defeated Penn 4-3 in the second round of the 2023 ECAC Women's Tennis Indoor Championships.
Brown is one of two teams undefeated in Ivy play, tied with Princeton at 3-0, a tie that will be broken on Saturday in Princeton. The Bears are currently on a four-match win streak, which includes three-straight Ivy victories over Yale (4-2), Dartmouth (4-1) and #67 Harvard (4-1).
