The Penn-Harvard Series
*Penn and Harvard's 91st all-time meeting on Saturday will be one for the series lead as the Quakers and Crimson are tied, 44-44-2 dating all the way back to 1900.

Notably, Penn has won an all-time series long eight straight games over Harvard dating back to April 12, 2014 and have won four in a row in Cambridge.

The Quakers took down the Crimson, 11-8, at Franklin Field in 2022 after Sam Handley totaled five points on four goals and an assist and Dylan Gergar added a hat trick. Ben Bedard added a team-high two caused turnovers on defense while goalie Patrick Burkinshaw made 20 saves.

Penn's last appearance at Jordan Field was a good one, back on April 13, 2019 as the Quakers routed Harvard, 26-13, en route to a 5-0 record and an Ivy League title for the first time since 1988. Handley (6) and Adam Goldner (6) had 12 of Penn's single-game program record-tying 26 goals in the victory.

The Last Time Out
*During Saturday's exciting game against Brown, Penn couldn't hold a four-lead and fell, 12-11. Sophomore Luke DiNola scored four goals in just his second-career collegiate game while Ben Smith notched his second consecutive hat trick. Gabe Furey added a pair of scores.

The Quakers led, 7-3, late into the second quarter, but Brown went on an 8-5 run the rest of the way to come out on top by one following a game-winner with 2:17 remaining in regulation.

"Who Is This Kid and Where Did He Come From?!"
Everyone loves a feel-good story and DiNola provided the world that on Saturday with his breakout performance in attack for the Quakers.

He scored a game-high four goals on Saturday at Brown, tying a team-high on the year with his first career hat trick in his first game of 2023 and just his second-ever career appearance donning the Red and Blue.

DiNola had already scored a trio of scores with 10:32 remaining on the third-quarter clock and added a fourth to tie the game at 10-10 with under five minutes to go in the final period.

Unleash The Furey
Furey was back in top form on Saturday against Brown in Providence, putting his stick to good use despite the defeat to the Bears. He dropped the hammer twice, adding an assist for a season-high three points.

It was the first time Furey found the back of the net since March 18 vs. Princeton, snapping a two-game drought and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Sticking With Sam
*Most of Penn's offense this season has revolved around Handley and all that he can do on the field. Despite failing to score a goal for the first time this season Saturday at Brown, he still had two assists to his ledger, increasing his point-scoring streak to 42 consecutive games, the fourth-longest streak in the country.

In addition, Handley is making his way up the Penn record books in several career-stat categories including points (6th, 172), goals (9th, 90) and assists (6th, 82).

Keeping The Streak Alive
*Handley increased his point-scoring streak to 42 straight games with his two assists against Brown. That number is good for fourth nationally. Handley has at least one point in every game he has played for Penn during his career, good for 172 points, ranking sixth in program history.

National Rankings
Following a one-goal loss to Brown, the Quakers are out of the USILA Coaches Poll for the first time this season, now receiving votes with 48 points in 21st, just behind #20 Princeton. Penn remains in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll for the 10th consecutive week, checking in a tie for 18th with Ohio State.

Sending Out An S.O.S.
Penn enters its contest with Harvard ranked third in the nation in the RPI, just behind Johns Hopkins and Notre Dame. Each of the Quakers' first eight matchups were against ranked opponents and Brown was their first unranked foe of the season. Harvard will be the second Saturday, receiving votes in both major national polls.

Ivy League squads are littered amongst the Top 25 in SOS, with Princeton (6), Harvard (11), Yale (12), Brown (16) and Cornell (17). Dartmouth sits just outside the Top 30 in 31st.
