PHILADELPHIA – On Wednesday evening the NCAA announced the 2023 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship seeds and brackets for next week's championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The three-day championship will take place at the BOK Center. The championship will begin with the round of 32 on Thursday, March 16 and run through Saturday, March 18. Eight wrestlers are the most of all Ivy League and EIWA teams.
BRACKETS & SEEDINGS
Penn saw five wrestlers qualify for the 2023 NCAA Championship with place finishes at the 119th EIWA Championship over the weekend. In total, Penn will bring eight wrestlers to Tulsa with
Doug Zapf (149),
Nick Incontrera (174), and
Cole Urbas (197) earning at-large bids.
Michael Colaiocco earned the highest seed for the Quakers at #7.
Doug Zapf also earned a top 15 seed as he is the #12 seed at 149 pounds.
Following the official announcement of the brackets, two changes were made to the 133 and 149 brackets. Colaiocco's first round opponent changed to Connor Brown (Missiouri). Due to a higher seed being removed from the bracket, Doug Zapf moved up a seed to #11 and will now face #22 Chance Lamer (Michigan).

The 2023 NCAA Division I Wrestling championships will begin on Thursday, March 16 with the Round of 32 in the morning. The round of 16 will take place on Thursday night. Friday, March 17 will feature the quarterfinals in the morning and the semifinals in the evening. The finals will take place in the evening on Saturday, March 18.
