Women's Tennis Hosts FDU on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team continues a three-match homestand on Saturday as the Quakers host Fairleigh Dickinson at the Hamlin Tennis Center. The Quakers and the Knights are set to start at noon. Pending the weather on Saturday, the match will move inside to the Hecht Tennis Center.

The Quakers are coming off a 5-2 victory over fellow Philadelphia foe, Temple on Sunday. After the Owls earned the doubles point, Penn won five singles matches to clinch the victory over the visitors.

Sabine Rutlauka improved to 10-0 at #1 singles on the spring season. As a team, the Quakers have won 80% of their matches between #1 and #2 singles with Rutlauka leading the way with a 10-0 record at #1 singles and Eileen Wang leading the squad at #2 singles with seven wins.

The doubles duo of Maya Urata and Iris Gallo have collected the most wins with six at #2 doubles. Overall, the duo is 10-2 with a perfect 4-0 record at #3 doubles.

Previewing FDU
The Knights are coming off a 5-2 loss at LIU on Sunday. Three straight singles wins clinched the match for the host Sharks before FDU claimed its two wins on the day at #5 and #6 singles.
