Huge Ivy Weekend at The Palestra as MBB Hosts Yale, Brown

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team is home for its next three games, starting this weekend when the Quakers host Yale and Brown in one of the most highly anticipated weekends in conference history.

Penn's game with Yale on Friday will air nationally on ESPNews, while Saturday's contest with Brown will be part of the Ivy League's package on ESPN+.

The top four teams in the Ivy standings—the Quakers, the Bulldogs, the Bears, and Princeton—will all face each other across Friday and Saturday night. Never in league history have the top four teams all been within a game of each other and played each other in a true Ivy weekend this late in the season.

With 6-4 Penn hosting 7-3 Yale on Friday and 6-4 Brown playing at 7-3 Princeton that same night, It is conceivable the Ivy League standings could have a four-way tie at the top going into Saturday's contests. Add in the fact that 5-5 Cornell and 5-5 Dartmouth meet each other in Ithaca, also on Friday, and every game takes on significant importance as the league gets down to its final three weekends (four games) in the race to make the top four and earn an Ivy Madness bid.
