About Ocean Breeze Complex
The Ocean Breeze Track and Field Athletic Complex is a 135,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art IAAF-certified indoor track and field facility in Ocean Breeze, Park Staten Island. This $93 million athletic complex was funded by the City's PlaNYC initiative, with construction managed in coordination with the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC). The facility is the premier destination for athletic events, drawing competitors from around the region. The elite-level hydraulically-banked competition track can convert from eight to six lanes and incline up to 4.5 feet. The facility boasts commanding views of the nearby Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and the Freedom Tower in lower Manhattan. The warm-up area features fitness and cardio rooms, and there's a covered parking lot that accommodates 160 cars. NYC Parks worked with track and field professionals and community groups throughout the planning process and continues to work with local partners to explore youth and adult programming opportunities. On November 19, 2015 the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex became the first facility in the United States to be recognized as a certified IAAF facility.

Familiarity with the Venue
The Quakers are very familiar with Ocean Breeze, competing in this event the last few season while also holding the Penn Select there in January yearly. This will be the first and two appearances there, as Penn hosts the Penn Select again on January 13.

Penn's Last Time Out
Several Quakers kicked off the indoor season last weekend at two events. At the Boston Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, Olivia Morganti set a new program record in the 3,000m. Fresh off a successful cross country season that concluded at the NCAA championship, she opened her indoor season with a time of 9:12.56 to set the new bar in program history. Wrapping up the evening in Boston, Maeve Stiles (16:09.62) and Lily Murphy (16:17.37) went up against the best distance runners in the country in the 5,000m. Although Stiles who owns the program record in the event to didn't reach that time, Murphy jumped all the way up to second in the record book.

Three men started their year at the Bison Opener in the two-day heptathlon. Jake Rose took third with 4,722 points, while freshmen Paul Park (4,328 pts) and Sean Golembiewski (DNF) made their first appearance of their collegiate careers.
