GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior
Matthew Fallon retained his title as the top swimmer in the nation for the 200-meter breaststroke, claiming the U.S. Open Championship title Saturday evening at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Fallon swam a competition record-time of 2:09.48 to take home the title, narrowly beating out Cody Miller (2:09.84), Josh Matheny (2:10.49) and Denis Petrashov (2:10.61).

It's been an eventful year for Fallon at the national and international levels, winning a U.S. National Championship in the 200 breast for the second straight year, then taking third place at World Championships in Japan, followed by a U.S. Open title on Saturday evening.
