• The Red and Blue finished 20-7 that season, including 10-4 in Ivy League competition, and ended the season on a three-game win streak beating Ivy League rivals Brown, Cornell, and Columbia. The postseason was canceled that year due to the pandemic.

About The Saints
• Siena enters the contest with an unblemished 2-0 record to start the season, defeating Binghamton (73-64) and Dartmouth (56-49).

• In their last meeting with Dartmouth, the Saints had three players in double figures as Ahniysha Jackson and Valencia Fontenelle-Posson led with 12 points each. Elisa Mevius ended the game with a double-double, her first of the season, with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

• Mevious leads the Saints in multiple categories for the season. She averages 16 points, 4.5 steals, and 5 assists, while shooting .500 from the floor and .444 from three.

• The Saints ended last season with a record of 19-13 and fell to top-seeded Iona in the MAAC semifinals, 67-66.

• Siena is led by long-time Division I head coach Jim Jabir, in his sixth season with the Saints. A finalist for the 2013 Naismith National Coach of the Year award, Jabir has been at the helm for Florida Atlantic, Dayton, Providence, and Marquette.

• The Quakers clashed with Saint Joseph's in the first Big 5 matchup of the season on Tuesday night in The Palestra, dropping a 77-49 decision.

Mataya Gayle led the Quakers with 14 points to go with three steals, three rebounds, and three assists. It marked her first double-digit scoring game of her young collegiate career.

• The Kinna, Sweden native has been putting up career numbers in her first two games of the season, averaging 18.5 points and nine rebounds per game, ranking her third in the Ivy League in both categories.

• Additionally, she ranks sixth in the league in assists at four per game, eighth in blocked shots (1.0), and 13th in steals (1.5).

• Her efforts have already earned her awards this season, being named Big 5 Player of the Week this past Monday for the first time in her collegiate career.

A Look Ahead
• The Quakers continue their four-game road trip, traveling cross country to the west coast to face Chapman (Nov. 22), San Diego State (Nov. 25), and UC San Diego (Nov. 26) in the Golden State over the Thanksgiving break.

• Penn returns to The Palestra on Wednesday, November 29, clashing with La Salle in another Big 5 matchup to round out the month of November.
