Women's Tennis Sends Velaga to Fall Nationals This Thursday
 
PHILADELPHIA – Freshman Esha Velaga will represent the University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team at the ITA Falls Nationals starting on Wednesday in San Diego.

Velaga claimed her spot in the nationals after winning the singles title at the ITA Northeast Super Regional back on Oct. 22. Velaga beat her sister Neha Velaga of Princeton 6-3, 6-0 in the final round, marking the first time a freshman has won the singles title in the Northeast Super Regional since 2021. The first-year carries a 14-1 singles record to Fall Nationals.
