PHILADELPHIA – Following an impressive individual performance at last weekend's Yale Fall Invitational, junior
Natalie Cao was named Penn Athletics Student Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
Â
As Penn finished the event in second place as a team, Cao was the program's low scorer on Sunday, carding a 1-under-par 71 to put her tied for third in a field of 71 golfers.
Â
She led the field in par 5 scoring (-3) and birdies (5) while finishing behind only Boston U's Christy Chen and Yale's Joanne Lee, both shooting a 2-under-par 70.
Â
Cao, a second-team All-Ivy selection in 2022, finished sixth at last year's Ivy League Championships to help lead the Quakers to the title.
Â
Penn heads to Wallingford, Conn. this weekend for the Quinnipiac Classic on Monday and Tuesday.
