*Senior captain Allison Kuzyk continued her offensive tear for the season, scoring two goals in the game to bring her season total to 13. She has scored four goals for the two-game weekend and has found the back of the cage in 10 different contests this season.

*Sophomore Livia Loozen scored the initial Quaker goal in the game, her sixth of the season.

*Freshman Sydney Mandato dished out two assists, her first collegiate points. She also earned her first collegiate start in the contest.

*The Blue Hens had a narrow edge in shots, 16-10, including 9-6 in shots on target.

*Both teams earned six penalty corners for the game, each scoring on one.

*Senior goalkeeper Frederique Wollaert tended the cage for the first 38 minutes, making four saves, while senior Hayley Hayden wrapped up the final 22 minutes.

How It Happened
The Blue Hens were awarded a penalty stroke early in the game, taking the 1-0 advantage five minutes after the start. However, it only held for 10 minutes before the Quakers connected on their first of the game to draw it even at the start of the second quarter.

Mandato, in her first career start, pulled the ball through traffic at the top of the circle before sending it through the middle to Loozen on the redirect past the Delaware keeper.

With seconds remaining before the break, the Quakers earned another penalty corner, an area they have shown plenty of success this season. Mandato, on the insert, sent the ball to the left side of the circle where Kuzyk awaited, ripping a shot to the right side of the goal to give Penn a 2-1 lead at the half.

The second half saw an offensive surge of four goals, unfortunately three in favor of the Blue Hens. Delaware scored twice to retake the lead into the fourth frame before Kuzyk capitalized on her second of the day to draw the game even with less than eight minutes left in the contest.

However, a minute later, Delaware connected on the game winner concluding a back-and-forth battle with three lead changes and three ties.

Up Next
The Quakers turn their attention to the inaugural Ivy League tournament, set to take place in Cambridge, Massachusetts next weekend. Penn will take on top-seeded and host Harvard in a semifinal matchup on Friday at 3 p.m.
