PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team had one final tune-up before next weekend's ITA Northeast Regional. Over the weekend Penn hosted the 25th Annual Cissie Leary Invitational at the Hamlin and Hecht Tennis Centers. Two Ivy squads, Columbia and Princeton; a pair of Philly schools, Drexel and Temple; and Richmond and Delaware joined Penn for the Invitational.

As a team, the Quakers went 5-4 in doubles action and 10-6 in singles play.

Freshman Juliana Munhoz won both of her doubles matches over the weekend as she was paired with Gibson Thomas and her fellow freshman Maya Urata. All five doubles teams earned at least one victory over the weekend. Sabine Rutlauka continued her singles success as she went 3-0 on the weekend.
