PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania's John R. Rockwell Head Coach of Men's Basketball, Steve Donahue, has announced his recruiting class for the upcoming 2022-23 season. Two young men, Cameron Thrower and Christian Ubochi, will join the Quakers' men's basketball roster this season as freshmen.

"We return a lot of quality young guys this year, so as a staff we really wanted to target a couple of players who could enhance our current group," said Donahue, who has been the Quakers' head coach since the 2015-16 season. "Cam and Chris have tremendous upsides, and I'm excited to see what the next four years have in store for the two of them. I think the potential is there for them to impact our program in extremely positive ways over the course of their careers."

Penn finished the 2021-22 season with a 12-16 overall record but overcame injuries down the stretch to finish 9-5 in Ivy League play and place third. The Quakers then lost to eventual champion Yale in an Ivy Madness semifinal.
