PHILADELPHIA - The Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) has announced its 2022 IRCA Scholar Athletes. To be eligible for recognition, a student-athlete must be in at least his/her second year of eligibility; competed in the program's top three boats during the season or raced at the 2022 IRA Championship; and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester.

In all, 525 rowers and coxswains representing 44 teams from the IRCA's 54 member institutions were recognized. Penn had eight members of the heavyweight rowing program honored for their efforts on the water and in the classroom, while 13 members of the lightweight rowing squad were recognized.
