GRASONVILLE, Md. – The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team narrowly missed out on team and individual hardware on Sunday at the Women's Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay. The 15-team, 54-hole event concluded Sunday on the par-72 Prospect Bay course.
Penn tied fellow Ivy Dartmouth for the team title, the Quakers shooting Sunday's best team round of 306 to make up the six strokes they had given up to the Big Green across two rounds on Saturday. That left both teams at 67-over-par 931 for the weekend, 13 strokes ahead of third-place Quinnipiac. However, the Big Green were declared the tournament's team champion by virtue of their fifth scorer on Sunday finishing with a lower round (81) than Penn's (83).
