PHILADELPHIA – The 126th running of the Penn Relays presented by Toyota started on Thursday, as the University of Pennsylvania track and field teams took the big stage.

The men were led great performances at throws and on the track.
Scott Dochat, in his first Penn Relays experience, made the most of it at the hammer throw. He took sixth overall with a throw of 58.87m (193-1) to land eighth in program history.

On the track,
Liam O'Hara led off the day with a 19th place finish in the 400m hurdles, clocking a time of 54.23. In the 1,500m,
James Lee took second in his heat and fourth overall with a time of 3:47.43. The steeplechase saw
William Hare take eighth overall with a time of 8:59.18.

The night was capped off for the men in 5,000m with three Quakers setting personal best marks that all land in the top 10 in program history.
Noah Carey finished fifth overall with a time of 13:53.86 to hold at fifth in the record book.
Zubeir Dagane clocked a time of 14:05 to improve his eighth best mark in program history, while
Dylan Throop jumped up to ninth in the record book with a time of 14:06.40.

On the women's side,
Mayyi Mahama earned third place out at throws in the hammer, tossing 63.65m (208-10). Back on the track,
Olivia Babski took 25th with a time of 4:30.78 in the 1,500m. The night was concluded in the 10,000m with
Zoe Shetty taking 20th with a time of 37:05.30.
