PHILADELPHIA– The No. 45 University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team ran its home record for the Spring to 11-0 with a 4-3 win over No. 25 Columbia Friday afternoon from the Hamlin Tennis Center.
The Quakers dominated the doubles matches, with
Jason Hildebrandt/
Zachery Lim and
Aditya Gupta/
Harsh Parikh each winning their matches 6-2;
Edoardo Graziani and
Kevin Zhu led their match 5-2 when action was halted ahead of singles play.
Graziani made it a 2-0 day with a three-set win at #1 singles over Alex Kotzen, ranked No. 17 in the ITA Singles Rankings. Parikh picked up his team-high 17th win of the Spring at #5, remaining unbeaten in conference action (5-0).
Baylor Sai snapped a three-match losing streak, picking up his 10th win of the season at #6 in straight sets.
Penn's unbeaten Spring at home marked the first such occasion for the program in more than 20 years.
