Penn 3, Drexel 2
Bella Fiorentino made the start in the circle for the Quakers. She pitched four innings of two run ball allowing seven hits and stranding five runners on base. Fiorentino was effective in keeping the Dragons from taking an early lead as she worked around a one-out triple in the top of the first and stranded another pair of runners in the second inning.

The Dragons pushed their only runs across the plate on a two-out double to right center in the top of the fourth inning.

Penn responded in the bottom of the fourth as it pushed across three runs all with two outs. Laurel McKelvey drove in the first run on a base hit to right field to score Sarah Schneider from third.

Emma Nedley tied the game as she followed McKelvey's lead with a base hit up the middle to score Dana Anderson from second.

Sammy Fenton joined the hit parade as she sent a ball through the middle infield that scored a McKelvey from third. This RBI base hit proved to be the game-winning hit.

Payton Bean took over in the circle for the Red and Blue and pitched three shutout innings allowing a single hit as she earned her first save.

Drexel loaded the bases on a one-out walk in the top of the fifth, but Bean was able to get a strikeout and a fly out to end the Dragons threat. The visitors got a runner on third in the top of the sixth but once again Bean was able to eliminate the threat with a fly out to center.
