Men's Tennis Defeats Yale, 5-2, For First 3-0 Ivy League Start in 15 Years

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 41 University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team improved to 3-0 in Ivy League play with a 5-2 victory over Yale on Sunday, the seventh straight win for the Quakers.

The Quakers ran their home record to 10-0 and increased their home dual match winning streak to 14 straight matches dating back to last season.

Penn picked up the doubles point after Edoardo Graziani/Kevin Zhu and Jason Hildebrandt/Baylor Sai both picked up 7-6 victories.

Harsh Parikh picked up his 15th singles win of the Spring with a straight-set victory at #5. Graziani and Aditya Gupta both picked up their 12th victories of dual match season with two more straight-set wins. In the lone match of the day to go beyond two sets, Zhu won a super-tiebreaker to pick up his ninth win of the season.

With the win, Penn moves to 3-0 in the Ivy League for the first time since the 2006-2007 season.
