PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's lacrosse team made history when it played its first Ivy League game in more than 1,000 days last Saturday at Princeton. The Quakers and Tigers combined for 41 goals, the most ever in an Ivy contest featuring Penn, with the hosts from New Jersey earning a 21-20 overtime victory.
Can it be topped? We find out on Saturday, when Penn plays fourth-ranked Cornell at Franklin Field. It marks the fourth time already this season the seventh-ranked Quakers have faced a top-10 opponent.

The Penn-Cornell Series
Saturday is the 95th meeting all-time between Penn and Cornell, with the Big Red holding a 65-26-3 lead in the series. That said, Penn has won four of the last six games between the two schools, including a dramatic 16-15 win in 2019 at Schoellkopf Field in Ithaca, N.Y.

Penn trailed early, 7-2, but came all the way back and earned the one-goal victory when
Adam Goldner scored with just 17.9 seconds left in regulation in Ithaca. Tyler Dunn scored five goals and added an assist to lead the Quakers attack, while Goldner scored four times and recorded five points.
