Men’s Tennis Wraps California Trip With 6-1 Win Over San Diego State

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Playing its fifth match in five days, the University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team posted a commanding 6-1 win over San Diego State University on Saturday afternoon.

Penn dropped the first doubles match of the day, but Edoardo Graziani/Jason Hildebrandt quickly got things back to even and Harsh Parikh/Kevin Zhu clinched the early point after winning the tiebreak in their match..

Parikh picked up Penn's second point of the day as well, finishing off his singles match in convincing 6-0, 6-2 fashion. Baylor Sai followed with another straight-set win, putting Penn in position to clinch the match.

After facing four men in the top 15 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Collegiate Singles Rankings the previous four days, Graziani took care of his match at #1 in straight sets to clinch the match for the Quakers.

Jonah Jurick picked up Penn's fifth point with a win due to opponent retirement at sixth singles, and Hildebrandt capped the day with a three-set win at #2.
