Women's Squash Falls 7-2 to Princeton in Howe Cup Fifth-Place Match

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The University of Pennsylvania women's squash team fell to Princeton University, 7-2 in the Howe Cup finale for both teams Sunday afternoon. Penn will finish the year No. 6 in the College Squash Association (CSA) rankings, Princeton will finish No. 5.

Penelope Oh picked up the first point of the day for the Quakers with a 3-0 win at #9, moving to 8-0 on the season without dropping a single game in those matches.

After Princeton won the final two matches of the first wave and first match of the second wave, Navmi Sharma kept Penn within striking distance with a 3-1 win, rallying for close wins in each of the final three games after dropping the first.

With Penn trailing 4-2, the Tigers swept the final flight of the day to put the match away. The Quakers finish the season 9-8 with a trio of top 10 wins, two against Ivy League teams.
