Penn got off to an early lead as it took the doubles point with wins by #41
Iuliia Bryzgalova and
Marija Curnic winning 6-0. The Quakers clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win by
Sabine Rutlauka and
Eileen Wang.
Rutlauka opened singles play with a two-set victory on court two to put Penn up 2-0. Win by the Tribe on Courts five and six tied the match at 2-2. Back-to-back three set victories by
Gavriella Smith and #86 Bryzgalova helped clinch the team victory for the Red and Blue.
