Men's Tennis Improves To 8-1 With 4-0 Sweep of Penn State

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team swept Penn State University, 4-0, from the Hecht Tennis Center Saturday afternoon, earning their fourth straight win and moving to 8-1 for the spring in the process.

Penn took two of the three doubles matches to take the early lead. The team of Edoardo Graziani/Jason Hildebrandt (#1) picked up a narrow 7-6 win and the Baylor Sai/Aditya Gupta (#3) pairing, playing together for the first time in the spring, won 6-3.

In singles action, Edoardo Graziani moved to 7-0 for the spring with a straight-set win; he's won 14 of 15 sets since the start of dual match play. Jason Hildebrandt added another point for the Quakers, picking up a commanding 6-1, 6-1 win. Harsh Parikh put the finishing touches on the sweep with a 6-3, 6-2 win, joining Graziani at 7-0 in singles play this season.

Gupta, Kevin Zhu, and Sai all had on-going matches stopped once Penn clinched the victory.
