PHILADELPHIA – Coming off its biggest win of the season Saturday, the University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team wraps non-conference play for 2022 on Tuesday evening when it makes the short trip to Vidas Field for a Philadelphia Soccer Six match with Drexel.
Penn knocked off #15/16 Cornell 3-2 over the weekend, running its winning streak to eight and taking sole possession of first place in the Ivy League.

The Quakers are 7-3-1 in their last 11 matches with the Dragons dating back to 2004 and 32-11-2 all-time. Nine of those last 11 matches have been decided by two goals or fewer, including a 2-1 comeback win for Penn last season at Rhodes Field.

* Penn's win over Cornell was its first against a ranked opponent since October 26, 2019 against #21/24 Yale (1-0, 2OT). It was also Penn's first win when allowing at least two goals since the 2021 season opener against Fairleigh Dickinson, also a 3-2 final.
* The 89th minute winner for
Leo Burney was his second game-winning Ivy League score of the season; his 75th minute score broke a one-all tie against Yale back on October 1.
* The Quakers picked up their eighth straight victory, moving to 9-1-1. The win streak is the longest for the program since the 1972 Ivy League championship squad.
* The victory Saturday was Penn's sixth road win of the season, the most for the program since 1980. The program has never won seven road matches in one season.

Stas Korzeniowski is the first Quaker with five goals and five assists in a season since Alec Neumann and Duke Lacroix both did it back in 2014.
* Penn has now won nine matches in a single season for the first time since the 2010 Ivy League championship team finished 13-6. 2010 also marked the last time the Red and Blue started a season 3-0 in conference play.
* Among Ivy teams, Penn ranks first in scoring average, opponent scoring average, with an overall scoring differential of +23, nine goals better than any other conference team.
