PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team opened the home portion of its 2022 spring season at the Hecht Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. The Quakers hosted the Drexel Dragons for a Battle of 33rd Street. Penn would take the match 6-1 to improve to 1-1 on the season while Drexel drops to 0-1.
Penn opened the match taking the doubles point as it would pick up wins on courts one and three. As most matches went two sets,
Eileen Wang earned her first victory as she bounced back from a first loss. She would even the score at one set a piece with a 6-3 victory in the second set and claim the point for Penn with a 10-8 victory in the final set.
