PHILADELPHIA – Penn Wrestling will make a trip east to New England for dual meets at Brown and Harvard on Friday. The Quakers will head to Brown for a noon meet and then close out the night at Harvard with a 6 p.m. start time. Due to weather in the forecast, Penn will wrestle only on Friday as its meet at Harvard was moved up to Friday night, originally scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.

Penn is coming off a dominating win over Columbia, 32-3. The Quakers took the first nine bouts of the meet. Highlighting the victory for Penn were wins by
Ryan Miller,
Anthony Artalona,
Doug Zapf, and
CJ Composto. #23
Ryan Miller defeated #15 Joe Manchio for a victory (4-2). #12 Michael Colaioco dominated from the start earning a 14-4 major decision over #26 Angelo Rini (4-2) putting the Quakers up 19-0. #15
CJ Composto continued to the Penn dominance as he pushed the lead to 24-0 with a tech. fall win (20-5). #20
Anthony Artalona earned a 5-2 win by decision and #21
Doug Zapf followed that up with a major decision victory (20-5) giving the home team a 32-0 lead.
Brown currently is on a three-meet losing streak. On Saturday, the Bears lost 47-3 to #10 Cornell in Ithaca. Their only victory came at 141 pounds as Timothy Levine won by decision over Phillip Moomey, 7-0. After the Bears meet vs. Penn, they will take on #20 Princeton at 6 p.m.
Last time out Harvard lost to #10 Cornell last Saturday in Ithaca. The Crimson are 1-2 in their last three meets. Harvard picked up wins at 141 pounds and 184 pounds. Kenny Herrmann (141) won by decision over Phillip Moomey, 7-1. Luke Rada won by decision over Ethan Hatcher, 5-3. Prior to the meet against Penn, the Crimson will take on #20 Princeton.
