Men's Tennis Rolls Past Temple, 6-1

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team continued its strong start to the spring season with a 6-1 victory over Temple University Wednesday night from the Hecht Tennis Center.

The Quakers picked up a sweep in doubles for a second straight match to take an early 1-0 lead. The teams of Edoardo Graziani and Jason Hildebrandt, as well as Aditya Gupta and Zach Smith each picked up their second wins of the season in the first and third flights, respectively. Harsh Parikh and Baylor Sai, in his first appearance of the season, picked up a 6-3 win at second flight.

In singles action, Graziani, Hildebrandt, Sai and Parikh all picked up straight set wins; Graziani and Parikh have yet to drop a set across their first two matches of the season. Gupta grinded out a three-set win, taking the deciding set 7-5 after dropping the second, 6-1. Temple avoided a 7-0 sweep by picking up a win at No. 5, but not before Zach Smith pushed the third set to 10-8 in the closest match of the night.
