NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams split their Ivy League matches with Yale on Sunday afternoon, with the men winning 7-2 in a match-up of two teams in the College Squash Association (CSA) top five, and the #9 women falling to the #4 Bulldogs.
Navmi Sharma and
Avni Anand earned wins for the Quakers in the first and third flights, respectively. Sharma picked up her second win of the weekend after rallying from a 2-1 deficit, closing the match with convincing 11-6 wins in both the fourth and fifth games. Anand improved to 8-2 on the season with a dominating 3-0 win.
Ashley Manning won the first game of her match at No. 1 11-5 before falling in four,
Grace Lavin worked overtime in earning a 14-12 win in the second game of her match she eventually dropped in four, and
Emma Carter took the third game of her 3-1 defeat, 11-8.

The Quakers head to the Big Apple on Friday for a 4 p.m. Ivy League battle with Columbia, the fifth top 10 opponent for the men in their last six matches and the fourth top 10 opponent for the women in their last five matches.
