HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams split their final non-conference matches of the 2021-22 regular season Saturday afternoon, with the men winning 7-2 against #4 Trinity and the women falling 7-2 to the #2 Bantams.
Jamila Abou El Enin and
Navmi Sharma both picked up wins for the Quakers. Abou El Enin dropped the first game, but responded in style to close the match in four games, taking both the second and fourth 11-9. Sharma won two tightly contested games to open her match, then took the third 11-6 to finish off the 3-0 win.
Grace Lavin and
Emma Wolf both picked up wins in the first games of their matches before falling in four.
Avni Anand fell in three games, but not before pushing the final game to 15-13, like she did last week against Harvard when she pushed the final game of her match to 22-20.

The Quakers will remain in Connecticut for a pair of Sunday showdowns with Yale's #5 men's squad and #4 women's squad. First flight is set to start at 12:00 p.m.
