Penn-Yale Series
Saturday will be the 87th meeting between the two programs with Penn holding a slight 46-40 edge in the all-time series. Head coach Mike McLaughlin maintains a 13-9 tally against the Bulldogs including a 12-2 record since 2014. In the John J. Lee Amphitheater, Yale has proven successful on its homecourt with a 21-19 record against the Quakers, although Penn has won the last three games in New Haven.

Last Time We Met
In the 2019-20 campaign, the programs split the series with the Bulldogs taking a 71-54 decision on February 28, 2020, in The Palestra. A tight game was separated in the third quarter when Yale outscored Penn, 27-16, to snap a five-game win streak for the Quakers against the Bulldogs. Yale's Roxy Barahman put together a game-high 29 points. All of Penn's 10 players that entered the game scored points led by Phoebe Sterba and Michae Jones with nine apiece.

About Yale
The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 10-6 record, 3-1 in the Ivy League. They fell in their conference opener on January 2 at Columbia, 65-55, but have bounced back with three straight Ivy victories over Harvard (80-73), Cornell (62-44), and Brown (69-67). In their recent two-point victory over the Bears, first-year guard Christen McCann drilled the winning basket in the closing seconds. Leading the way junior Camilla Emsbo averaging a double-double with 14.9 points and 10.2 rebounds. She currently ranks fourth in scoring in the Ivy, and leads the league in rebounds, field goal percentage (.529), and blocks (37).

Penn's Last Time Out
The Quakers fell for the first time this season in the Ivy League, dropping a 70-50 home decision against Princeton on Monday. Penn stayed within striking distance for much of the game, including as close as eight points midway through the third quarter, but the Tigers' offense remained hot to keep their distance down the stretch. Junior Kayla Padilla led all Penn scorers with 16 points, while senior Mia Lakstigala and sophomore Jordan Obi added 12 and 11, respectively. Princeton had 11 turnovers, which the Quakers converted into 13 points.

Rescheduled Game For Next Week
Penn has rescheduled one of their two postponed Ivy League games, now traveling to Columbia on Wednesday, January 26 for a 6 p.m., tip. The game was scheduled for January 8 but was postponed due to COVID protocol within the two programs. The Quakers are still working to reschedule their game at Cornell.
