How It Happened
The Quakers had an early lead in the game, but Brown caught some heat in the later part of the quarter to eventually carry a 19-11 advantage after the first 10 minutes.

However, the second quarter flipped the script when Penn responded with a 19-3 run. In the first four and a half minutes, the eight-point deficit was erased on jumpers by Obi and Suttle before Almqvist came to life with a jumper and a three-pointer to give the Quakers a 20-19 lead that wouldn't falter the rest of the way

By the half, Penn worked up to a 30-22 lead with Almqvist leading all scorers with 10, all of which were scored in the second quarter.

After the break, the Bears trimmed down their deficit to as much as three less than four minutes into the third, but an and-one finish by junior Mandy McGurk brought back the Penn momentum that pushed the lead back out to its eventual largest of the game of 32 with 2:09 left in the fourth.

The final frame was another strong defensive performance, holding the Bears to just four points while the Quakers racked up 18 points from players off the bench. The clean defense all game only saw Brown go to the line for four free throw attempts, while Penn had 29.

Up Next
The Quakers remain on the road for two more Ivy matchups, traveling to New York on Friday for a bout against Cornell. Tip is set for 6 p.m.
