PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Four of the best college squash programs squared off on Saturday afternoon, as the University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams welcomed Harvard to the Penn Squash Center to kick off Ivy League play. On the women's side, the #1 Crimson ran their win streak to 87 matches with an 8-1 win over the #9 Quakers.
Euwie Park picked up the lone point for the women, winning in four games out of the #9 spot, improving to 6-1 on the year. Among other notable women's performances,
Grace Lavin dropped a 52-minute, five-game thriller playing at #6,
Avni Anand dropped her first match of the season, falling in four games at #4, but not before pushing the final game to 22-20 in a match that lasted a whopping 61 minutes, and
Jamila Abou El Enin and
Emma Carter each fell in four games.
