How It Happened
Isobel Glass had the game's first scoring chance as she attempted a shot in the third minute that was met by the Harvard goalkeeper to keep the match scoreless.
The Crimson jumped out to the 1-0 lead in the ninth minute as Bebar fired a free kick about 40 yards out to the left side of the goal. Gladu was thrown by players running in front of her, and when the ball wasn't touched by any of them her dive was too late to keep the ball out of the net.
With the goal, Harvard gained momentum it needed to take control of the first half as the Crimson fired off three consecutive shots in less than a minute. Gladu made a pair of saves in the sequence.
Teuschl had the first Penn shot of the game since the fourth minute when she sent a shot right at Harvard goalkeeper Hannah Gardner.
After a Lawton shot went wide right at one end of the field, the Crimson gathered the ball and Angela Caloia gave the home team an insurance goal. Caloia took a ball from Sophie Hirst on the right side and sent the ball past a diving Gladu to give Harvard a 2-0 lead in the 63rd minute.
In the 72nd minute, Bebar scored her second goal of the match and third of the season. From just in front of the goal about five yards out, she sent a shot off a cross from the left side to give Harvard a 3-0 advantage. Lawton had Penn's final shot in the 81st minute, but her effort was saved by Gardner.
