How It Happened
The Quakers got off to a fast start as Paolini's second-down pass was complete to McCafferty for 55 yards. McKever rushed for four yards on a sweep to the left side to a wide-open end zone for the score. Byrce Stansfield's kick attempt was good to give the visitors a quick 7-0 lead. Penn then took a two-score lead late in the opening frame as McKever found paydirt from six yards out. The drive went 64 yards on eight plays as the Quakers lead grew to 14-0.

After forcing a Mansfield punt, the Quakers capitalized and pushed their way down the field using a 15-yard roughing-the-passer penalty to gain great field position for McKever. The senior found the end zone for his third touchdown of the game to give the Red and Blue a 21-0 lead with 9:29 remaining in the second quarter.

Mansfield got on the board as Cashid Raymond broke through the Quaker defense for a 64-yard TD run.

Penn would take advantage of some costly penalties by Mansfield that gave the Quakers good field position and allowed them to add to their lead. After a six-yard rush by McKever to get into the red zone, Paolini's completed a 15-yard pass to Ben Klaus that gave the Quakers a 28-7 lead going into the break.

Mansfield scored on its first possession of the second half to cut Penn's lead to 28-14. However, the Quakers got those points back on the ensuing drive as Paolini's pass to McCaffrey was complete for a 34-yard touchdown. Raymond followed that up with a rush of his own to put the Mounties back within 14, 35-21, but once again the Quakers had a response. Paolini connected with Klaus for his second touchdown of the game, putting Penn up 42-21. The Quakers added a pair of touchdowns in the final quarter to take a 55-28 victory.
