The Series with Saint Joseph's
• The Quakers and the Hawks are meeting for the 89th time in men's basketball, Saint Joseph's holding a 51-37 lead in the series; Penn has not played any non-Ivy League team more than Saint Joseph's.

• This has been Penn's most evenly played Big 5 rivalry the last decade, the teams splitting the last 10 meetings with SJU outscoring the Quakers by a mere 12 points over those games (706-694).

• Saint Joseph's won the last meeting two years ago, 87-81, snapping Penn's modest two-game win streak in 2018 (67-56) and 2019 (78-70).

• Penn is 0-2 against Atlantic 10 teams already this season, losing 87-66 at George Mason on November 12 and 72-60 to Davidson at the Myrtle Beach Invitational on November 19; the Quakers have another A-10 foe, La Salle, on Saturday.

Penn MBB by the Numbers
2 • Times Penn has played on Hawk Hill before, on January 16, 1991 (an 87-79 loss) and January 21, 1995 (a 92-82 loss in OT).

3 • Consecutive 20-point games by sophomore Jordan Dingle entering Wednesday night (21 at Towson, 21 vs. Villanova, 22 at Temple); he has seven 20-point games already this season, surpassing his total as a freshman in 2019-20 (5).

4 • Consecutive Big 5 games being played by Penn over an 11-day span, a first in program history; in fact, only seven times in history have the Quakers played THREE consecutive games against Big 5 opponents, the most recent of those coming in 2010-11.

15 • Penn's 19-player roster features players from 12 different states, the District of Columbia, and two foreign countries (China and Israel).

17 • Points scored by senior Michael Wang over the final 15:10 of Penn's loss Saturday at Temple; he finished with 21 points, his first double-figure scoring game since February 8, 2019 (11 vs. Brown).

19.9 • Dingle's points-per-game average so far this season, tops among Ivy League players; he is also third among Ivy players with 3.2 assists per contest.

25 • Consecutive Penn-Saint Joseph's games that have been played at The Palestra; that streak will end on Wednesday night.

26 • Points scored by sophomore Max Martz in Penn's first two Big 5 games (12 vs. Villanova, 14 at Temple); he also has 25 rebounds over the last three contests including a career-high 13 at Arkansas on November 28.

31 • Three-point baskets by junior Jonah Charles so far this season; he has just four two-point baskets.

95.2 • Free-throw percentage by sophomore Clark Slajchert this season (20-21), tops among Ivy League players; he made his first 16 foul shots to start the season, missed his first on November 28 at Arkansas, then made his next four.

223 • Penn's ranking in the first NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) of 2021-22, which came out on Monday. That was seventh among the Ivy programs, although the Quakers' strength of schedule (59) and average opponent NET Rank (63) were far and away the best among the Ancient Eight programs.
