How It Happened
The first possession showed the intensity of the starters, pulling in five offensive rebounds including three by Groetsch. However, it wasn't until almost three minutes in when the Quakers scored their first basket when Kovacikova drilled her first of two three-pointers for the night.

As the quarter went along, neither team had more than a three-point advantage as the score sway six times. Sophomore Jordan Obi led the Quakers with four points through the first 10 minutes, knocking in a jumper in the paint and 2-for-2 at the line.

The second quarter started quickly in favor of Penn, hitting back-to-back three-pointers by Stanfield and Kovacikova to push a 17-13 lead and forcing the Bison into a timeout.

The break proved helpful to Bucknell, responding with a 7-1 run to jump back out in front, 20-18. In the final four minutes of the half, the teams traded buckets while Visockaite got hot with six points in the paint. By the half, although trailing by three, Visockaite led the Quakers with eight points and seven rebounds.

A slow start to the third had the Quakers fall behind by as many as 10 by the midway mark of the period. Working on chipping away the deficit, Penn would get as close as seven when Papazoglou had a steal and layup in transition with 7:38 left in regulation.

The Bison didn't let up though, outscoring the Quakers, 15-7, in the fourth to take the 62-46 decision.
