Updated Spectator Guidelines
The University of Pennsylvania's Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics (DRIA) has announced updated spectator guidelines for all remaining home contests and additional events at The Palestra. Â
- Effective December 28, all spectators ages 12 and above must show proof of vaccination to access the Palestra in accordance with the recently announced Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) mandate for establishments that sell food or beverages. A valid government or school-issued photo ID must also be shown with proof of vaccination.
- Effective December 28, spectators 5 years and 3 months through 11 will need to show proof of one dose of COVID vaccine to gain admission and must be fully vaccinated by February 3 to gain access to the Palestra. A photo ID is not required for this age group.
- Acceptable forms of vaccination proof include physical vaccination card or photo of full vaccination card on smartphone. Apps and QR codes will not be accepted.Â
- Proof of exemptions or negative test results are not valid to gain admission.
- Spectators under the age of 5 will not be required to be vaccinated but must wear a mask at all times if able.
Penn-Ursinus Series
Penn and Ursinus are meeting for the first since 1983, as the Quakers hold a 5-3 edge in the all-time series. Riding a five-game win streak, Penn has played six of the eight matchups inside The Palestra. The last time they played in The Palestra was on December 7, 1981, with the Quakers taking a 56-32 victory.

About Ursinus
The Bears enter Thursday's game with a 2-6 record this year with both wins coming in Centennial Conference play against Muhlenberg and McDaniel. This will be their first contest in 22 days, playing their last game on December 8 at Cabrini, dropping a 48-38 decision. Ursinus is led by 6-0 forward Chinwe Irondi with 14.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. The freshman is shooting 50.5 percent from the floor, but just 48.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Penn's Last Time Out
The Quakers are playing their first game since December 10 when they fell at Stony Brook, 75-69. Led by a 29-point effort by junior
Kayla Padilla, Penn battled a back-and-forth battle with the Seawolves before Stony Brook pulled its largest lead of 13 with 6:35 left in the game to hold a lead the rest of the way. Padilla was joined in double figures by sophomore
