Penn-La Salle Series
The Explorers own a 35-12 all-time series record against Penn, dating back to the first matchup in 1973-74. However, since 2012, the Quakers have won six out of the last eight meetings, including the last two. The last meeting was on December 4, 2019 at La Salle, with the Quakers taking a 65-49 decision. Kayla Padilla led all scorers with 24 points, while Phoebe Sterba added 22 with five three-pointers.

Big 5 History
Under head coach Mike McLaughlin, the Quakers earned their first two Big 5 titles. The first was in 2015 and followed again in 2018. The Explorers have won five Big 5 titles, including three straight from 1986-87 to 1988-89. Their last title came in 1997-98, posting a perfect 4-0 record.

About La Salle
The Explorers are entering Tuesday night's game with a 3-3 record, posting three home victories over Rider (67-58), Niagara (83-71) and Lafayette (73-52). They are still in search of their first road win this season, dropping games to Drexel (71-65) and Kentucky (74-52). In La Salle's loss to the Wildcats, 10 different players registered points, but only Amy Jacobs found double figures with 10. Averaging 68.3 points per game, the Explorers are led in scoring by Kayla Spruill and Jaye Haynes, combining for 27 points per game. Defensively, Spruill is averaging a double-double with 10.8 rebounds per game.

Penn's Last Time Out
The Quakers had a heartbreak finish to their California trip, falling in overtime to Memphis in the Loyola Marymount Thanksgiving Classic. Although not the finish as they had hoped, the Quakers had a record-breaking performance from Padilla, with a career-high 36 points on 13-for-26 shooting, the 10th highest scoring in program history. Of the 36, she drilled a program-record nine three-pointers, shattering the previous record of seven set back in 1997.

Sophomore Jordan Obi registered her fifth double-figure scoring game with 12 points, including a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the arc. She added a season-best three blocks, as she has recorded at least one in all six games this season with a total of 11.

Weekly Awards Rolling
For the second time this season, Padilla and Obi reeled in weekly honors on Monday. Padilla was named Big 5 Player of the Week for the second time in three week and the third time in her collegiate career. Obi was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second straight week. Padilla averaged 22.6 points, four assists, and three rebounds during the trip in her home state of California, while Obi currently ranks in the top 10 in the Ivy League in a handful of categories including fourth in scoring (16.5), fourth in field goal percentage (.464), and fourth in blocks (1.8).
