The Penn-Towson Series
*The Quakers and the Tigers are meeting for just the fourth time in men's basketball, with Penn holding a 2-1 lead in the series.
*The most recent meeting was a neutral-site affair almost exactly four years ago at the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla. Towson earned a 79-71 victory on November 23, 2017.
*This is Penn's second trip to Towson; the first came on December 6, 1995 and ended as a 67-61 Quakers win.
*The teams then met the following year at The Palestra, the Quakers gaining another six-point win (80-74).
*Penn is 42-18 all-time against teams that currently play in the Colonial Athletic Association; the Quakers will face another CAA team on December 28 when they host James Madison.
Busy Start to the Season
After not playing a regular-season game for 613 days—dating back to March 7, 2020 to be precise—Penn's game with Towson will be its eighth in 14 days, with seven of them coming away from home. The Quakers continue this brutal early stretch with another road game on Sunday, at No. 13 Arkansas.
