PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania swimming and diving teams are back in action at Sheerr Pool this weekend, welcoming Ivy League rivals Princeton and Cornell to campus.
The Penn men have defeated the Big Red five straight times dating back to the 2015-16 season and the Quaker women have beaten Cornell in four of the last five meetings between the Ancient Eight foes.

Lia Thomas has won three individual events in each of the last two meets for the Red and Blue. She currently has the top time in the Ivy League in both the 500 free (4:46.41) and the 1,000 free (9:48.93).

Vanessa Chong won the 200 IM in the season opener at Columbia. Her time of 203.45 is the second-fastest in the Ivy League in 2021. Chong also has the second-best mark in the Ivy League in both the 100 fly (55.08) and 200 fly (2:00.66).

Olivia Francella won the 3M diving event with a score of 249.90 at Villanova last week.
*Matthew Fallon has had a strong start to his collegiate career. He won three events in the last weekend against Brown and he won two more in the season opener at Columbia. Fallon currently has the top time in the Ivy League in the 100 breast (54.16), 200 breast (1:55.53), 200 IM (1:49.75) and the 400 IM (3:55.25).

Cody Hopkins swept the 1M (320.18) and the 3M (352.95) diving events versus Brown last Saturday. He also won the 1M (315.67) at Villanova last week.
