Last Time Out
Penn powered past previously undefeated Caldwell, 40-10, on Friday night at Franklin Field. RB Laquan McKever rushed for 121 yards and scored twice on the ground to help the Quakers score their fourth straight win. After falling behind 7-0, Penn scored three straight touchdowns to take a lead it would not surrender. The Quaker defense forced three turnovers and blocked a punt.

Weekly Honors
Following the win against Caldwell, senior RB Laquan McKever was named the CSFL Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. McKever garnered CSFL weekly honors for the first time this season and the second time in his career. Laquan accounted for 146 yards of total offense and a trio of touchdowns to lead Penn past Caldwell. He rushed for 122 yards and scored twice on the ground. McKever also had two catches for 24 yards and a TD. He has scored two or more TDs in four consecutive games for the Quakers. The receiving TD was his first of the season.

Ground and Pound
Senior RB Laquan McKever is having a solid start to the season. He has rushed for 627 yards and nine TDs. He has scored two or more touchdowns in four straight games for the Quakers. He ranks second in the CSFL in both rushing yards per game (125.4), rushing touchdowns (9) and yards per carry (6.5). Earlier this season, he topped 1,000 career rushing yards.

Welcome to the Club
Earlier this season, McCaffrey became just the sixth wide receiver in program history to record over 1,000 career yards. Senior WR Brendan McCaffrey is putting up impressive through the team's first five games of the year. He has caught 13 passes for 499 yards and six TDs. He currently ranks fourth in program history with 1,204 career receiving yards. With one more yard receiving this year, he will become the sixth player in program with 500 or more receiving yards in a season.

Breakout Performance
Senior Ben Klaus has put together back-to-back big performances for the Quakers. He caught six passes for 105 yards a pair of TDs against Chestnut Hill two weeks ago and he followed that up with four catches for 41 yards and a TD versus Caldwell.  

Slinging It
Junior QB Andrew Paolini is having a strong season for the Red and Blue. Through the team's first five games, he has 990 passing yards, 15 TDs and just one INT. On the ground, he has scored five TDs and accounted for 125 yards.

Series History With Alderson Broaddus
Alderson Broaddus had its inaugural season in 2019. In the first meeting between the two teams Penn scored a 49-7 victory at Franklin Field. Brendan McCaffrey had 116 yards receiving and a TD in the win, while the Quaker defense held AB to just six first downs and 54 total yards.

Familiar Face, New Role
With the cancellation of the 2020 season, Head Coach Jerry McConnell earned his fist win at the helm of the program September 25 at Mansfield. McConnell has spent the previous 12 seasons on the staff serving as the offensive coordinator. Over his 12 years as a member of the coaching staff, the Quakers have had 112 offensive players receive All-CSFL selections with 40 of those players receiving first-team honors. Over McConnell's 12 years, Penn led the CSFL in total offense four times (2009, '13, '17, '19).
