Last Time Out
Penn raced past Chestnut Hill, 56-7, on Friday night in Conshohocken. The win was the third straight for the Red and Blue. The Quakers have scored more than 50 points in each of their last three contests and outscored their opponents 119-7 over the last two games. In the last eight quarters of action, the Quakers have scored 17 touchdowns and surrendered just one. Six different Penn players found the end zone against the Griffins.

Weekly Honors
Following the win against Chestnut Hill, freshman LB Jake Inserra was named both CSFL Co-Defensive Player of the Week and the CSFL Co-Rookie of the Week. Inserra garnered CSFL weekly accolades for the second time this fall after being named the Defensive Player of the Week on September 27. He had 12 total tackles, 1.5 TFLs and a forced fumble. It was his fourth straight game with 11 or more tackles. He anchors a defense that has allowed just one touchdown over the last two games.  

Ground and Pound
Senior RB Laquan McKever is having a solid start to the season. He has rushed for 505 yards and seven TDs. He has scored two or more touchdowns in three straight games for the Quakers. He ranks second in the CSFL in both rushing yards per game (126.3), rushing touchdowns (7) and yards per carry (6.3). Earlier this season, he topped 1,00 career rushing yards.

Deep Threat
Senior WR Brendan McCaffrey is putting up impressive through the team's first four games of the year. He has caught 12 passes for 451 yards and six TDs. He leads the CSFL in receiving yards per game (112.8), touchdown catches, receiving yards and yards per catch (37.6).

Welcome to the Club
Earlier this season, McCaffrey became just the sixth wide receiver in program history to record over 1,000 career yards. In the win las Friday night, he moved into fourth place in program history with 1,156 yards receiving.  

Breakout Performance
Senior Ben Klaus had a big game for Penn against Chestnut Hill. He caught six passes for 105 yards a pair of TDs. It was his second game this season with two touchdown grabs and he topped 100 yards in a game for just the second time in his career.

Slinging It
Junior QB Andrew Paolini is having a strong season for the Red and Blue. Through the team's first four games, he has 831 passing yards, 12 TDs and just one INT. On the ground, he has scored four TDs and accounted for 100 yards.

Series History With Caldwell
The Quakers and Griffins are playing for the fourth time. The first meeting between the two teams came back in 2017. Penn has won all three of the previous meetings.  

Look Back on the 2019 Meeting
In the final game of Head Coach Bill Wagner's career, the Quakers outlasted Caldwell, 31-21 in the Garden State. Lewis Evans made 15 tackles, forced a fumble and had a fumble recovery in the game, while Laquan McKever ran for 74 yards and a touchdown.

Familiar Face, New Role
With the cancellation of the 2020 season, Head Coach Jerry McConnell earned his fist win at the helm of the program September 25 at Mansfield. McConnell has spent the previous 12 seasons on the staff serving as the offensive coordinator. Over his 12 years as a member of the coaching staff, the Quakers have had 112 offensive players receive All-CSFL selections with 40 of those players receiving first-team honors. Over McConnell's 12 years, Penn led the CSFL in total offense four times (2009, '13, '17, '19).
