It is Week Six for the #UPrising! This week, the Quakers travel to Connecticut for a Saturday afternoon matinee against the Yale Bulldogs. The two teams are playing for the 87th time with Yale winning 50 of those contests. The two Ancient Eight foes have split last ten games, but Penn is looking to end a three-game losing streak to the Bulldogs.

The Penn-Yale Series
Saturday's game will mark the 87th meeting between the Quakers and the Bulldogs. Penn and Yale first met back in November of 1879. Yale has won three straight games against Penn. The Quakers are 15-23 all-time at the Yale Bowl. The Red and Blue won seven straight meetings with Yale back in the 1990s.

Looking Back on the 2019 Meeting
Yale outlasted Penn, 46-41, in a shootout in October of 2019. The 41 points scored were the most in a loss by a Penn team since scoring 45 in a 48-45 loss to No. 13 Fordham in 2015. Ryan Cragun had a career-high 13 catches for 208 yards, while Rory Starkey, Jr. caught a TD pass for the Quakers. Yale's Zane Dudek ran for 97 yards and three TDs.

A Look at the Bulldogs
Yale is 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the Ivy League entering Saturday's contest. The Bulldogs saw their fourth-quarter comeback fall short last weekend against UConn. Dating back to the start of the 2019 season, Yale has won five straight Ancient Eight games at home. Yale is scoring more than 21 points per game this season. Senior RB Zane Dudek leads the team with 244 rushing yards. Defensively, the Bulldogs lead the country in third-down percentage defense (.213). They also lead the Ivy League in team tackles for loss with more than eight per game. Sophomore Clay Patterson leads the conference in sacks with 1.8 per game. All three of the team's interceptions this year came in a victory over Cornell at home.

Breaking Through
Sophomore Maurcus McDaniel scored his career rushing touchdown last Saturday at Columbia. The change-of-pace QB rushed five yards to paydirt in the second quarter against the Lions to score Penn's first TD of the game. He finished the contest with 32 yards rushing on seven totes.

Weekly Honors
Running back Isaiah Malcome was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week on October 11. Malcome ran for 201 yards and scored a TD in Penn's 20-0 victory over Lehigh. He also caught five passes for 26 yards. In total, Malcome had 26 touches on offense for 227 yards. He became the first Penn player to earn weekly honors from the Ivy league this season and he's the first Quaker to be tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week since KK Brooks in October of 2018.

Malcome's Big Day
Malcome's 201 rushing yards versus Lehigh were the most by a player in the Ivy League this season as were his 228 all-purpose yards. His performance versus the Mountain Hawks marked the 15th time in program history that a Quaker has rushed for over 200 yards.

It's Been A While…
The Quakers defeated Lehigh, 20-0, On October 9 at Franklin Field. It was Penn's first shutout since the 2009 team capped a perfect Ivy League season with a 34-0 win over Cornell. The Quakers held the Mountain Hawks negative three (-3) net rushing yards. It was the fewest rushing yards allowed for the Red and Blue under head coach Ray Priore and the fewest the team has surrendered since holding Cornell to negative seven (-7) yards on the ground in November of 2011.

Two-Headed Rushing Attack
The running back tandem of Isaiah Malcome (201 yards) and Trey Flowers (115) combined for 316 yards on the ground against Lehigh. It marked the first time Penn had a pair of 100-yard rushers in the same game since Abe Willows and Tre Solomon did it against Princeton in 2017. It was also the first 100-yard rushing performance for both Malcome and Flowers.

Major Milestone
Senior WR Ryan Cragun became the 21st player in program history to record 1,000 career receiving yards. He reached the milestone in just 11 games played. This season, he has caught 22 passes for 335 yards and a touchdown. He is currently 13th in program history with 1,220 receiving yards, and with 154 more yards he'll move into the top-10.

Dynamic Duo
Senior WRs Rory Starkey, Jr. and Ryan Cragun had big games at Bucknell in the season opener. Starkey caught two passes for 113 yards, highlighted by a 70-yard TD grab, while Cragun hauled in six passes for 110 yards and a 44-yard TD reception. It was the first time since November 11, 2016, that two Quaker wideouts had over 100 yards receiving in a game. In that contest, Justin Watson had 10 catches for 120 yards and a TD, while Christian Pearson caught 7 for 101 and a TD in a 27-14 victory over #22 Harvard.

Where We Rank
The Penn defense ranks in the top-10 in the country in four different categories. The Quakers are second in passing yards allowed, third in fewest first downs allowed, third in redzone defense and eighth in team passing efficiency defense.

Let's Kick It
Kicker Daniel Karrash had a strong start to the 2021 season at Bucknell. Karrash was 3-of-3 on FGs and 3-of-3 on PATs. He accounted for a career-high 12 points in the 30-6 win over the Bison. Last week, he was 2-of-3 on FGs and 2-of-2 on PATs. He made FGs of 39 and 40 yards.

Second-Half Surge
Penn scored all 20 of its points against Lehigh in the second half. Under Ray Priore, the Red and Blue are 28-1 when leading after three quarters. This season, the Quakers are outscoring opponents, 41-27, over the final 30 minutes of action.

A Penn Win Saturday Would…
… be Penn's 36th against Yale
... be Penn's first at Yale since 2016
... be Penn's first Ivy League win in 707 days
... be Penn's second on the road in 2021
… snap Yale's five-game home winning streak in Ivy League play
