Last Time Out
Penn roared past visiting Cornell on Friday night, 63-0, as junior QB Andrew Paolini threw for a pair of touchdowns and rushed for four more. In the 101st meeting between the Quakers and the Big Red, Penn racked up 470 yards of total offense and shut out an opponent for the first time in a decade (September 16, 2011 vs. Princeton).

Weekly Honors
Following the win against Cornell, two members of the University of Pennsylvania sprint football team earned weekly awards from the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL). Andrew Paolini was named the CSFL Co-Offensive Player of the Week and junior LB Lewis Evans was tabbed as the CSFL Defensive Player of the Week.

Paolini's Big Night
Paolini had a career day under center against the Big Red, running for 122 yards and a career-high four TDs and passing for 119 yards and two scores. In total, he accounted for accounted for 241 yards of total offense and six touchdowns. He has twice been named the CSFL Offensive Player of the Week this season. This fall, he has is 28-of-60 passing with 644 yards and eight TDs. On the ground, he has rushed for four TDs. He has not turned the ball over in 2021.

Monster Game
Evans was all over the field for the Quakers the win over Cornell last Friday. He had a game-high 15 tackles including seven solo stops. Evans had 2.0 TFLs and 0.5 sacks as he played a pivotal role in the Quakers shutting out the Big Red. He also had a fumble recovery. Evans earned CSFL weekly distinction for the first time this season and the second time in his career.

Deep Threat
Senior WR Brendan McCaffrey is putting up impressive through the team's first three games of the year. He has caught nine passes for 392 yards and five TDs. He leads the CSFL in receiving yards per game (130.7), touchdowns (5) and yards per catch (43.6).

Welcome to the Club
Earlier this season, McCaffrey became just the sixth wide receiver in program history to record over 1,00 career yards. With 55 more receiving yards, he'll move into fourth-place on Penn's all-time list.

Ground and Pound
Senior RB Laquan McKever is having a solid start to the season. He has rushed for 377 yards and five TDs. He ranks second in the CSFL in both rushing yards per game (125.7) and yards per carry (6.1). Earlier this season, he topped 1,00 career rushing yards.

Series History With Chestnut Hill
The Quakers and Griffins are playing for the fifth time. The first meeting between the two teams came back in 2015. Penn has won three of the previous fourth meetings. The Quakers are playing at Chestnut Hill for just the second time after winning the first contest, 20-7, in 2017.

Look Back on the 2019 Meeting
Laquan McKever ran for a career-high 238 yards and a pair of TDs to lead the Quakers to a 42-32 victory over Chestnut Hill at Franklin Field in October of 2019. Familiar Face, New Role
With the cancellation of the 2020 season, Head Coach Jerry McConnell earned his fist win at the helm of the program September 25 at Mansfield. McConnell has spent the previous 12 seasons on the staff serving as the offensive coordinator. Over his 12 years as a member of the coaching staff, the Quakers have had 112 offensive players receive All-CSFL selections with 40 of those players receiving first-team honors. Over McConnell's 12 years, Penn led the CSFL in total offense four times (2009, '13, '17, '19).
