Men's Soccer Set for Soccer Six Showdown with Drexel

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team hosts the Drexel Dragons in a Philly Soccer Six matchup Tuesday night from Rhodes Field.

The Series with Drexel
The Quakers are 6-3-1 in their last 10 with the Dragons dating back to 2004. Eight of those matches have been decided by two goals or fewer.
 
The two teams squared off each year from 2012-2019, with Penn holding a slim 4-3-1 edge in those eight meetings.
 
About Drexel
Drexel enters Tuesday night 5-4-1 on the season, going 5-1-1 since starting the season 0-3-0. The Dragons have allowed just a single goal in their last four matches, a 380-minute stretch. Chris Donovan has scored eight of Drexel's 18 goals this season, including a hat trick in a 4-0 win on Saturday over UMass-Lowell. Cameron Sanders has started eight of the team's matches in goal, posting a 0.91 goals-against average and a .774 save percentage with clean sheets in CAA matches against UNC-Wilmington and Elon.
 
Quaker Notemeal
*Freshman Stas Korzeniowski scored his second goal of the season in Penn's 1-1 draw with Columbia Saturday night.
 
*Korzeniowski's goal gave the Quakers five players with multiple goals for the season, the first occurrence for the program since the 2016 season.
 
*Saturday marked Penn's second draw of the season; despite starting in net for four of Penn's nine matches, junior Nick Christoffersen has been the goalie of record in both of them.
 
*Senior Ben Stitz has remained among the conference leaders in assists all season, and enters this week's action in first place with six assists in nine matches.
 
*The Quakers are 121-35-26 all-time against the members of the Philly Soccer Six.
