Last Time Out: W, 11-5 at Yale (Feb. 29, 2020)
Last Saturday, the Quakers closed out the month of February with an 11-5 victory over the Bulldogs to open Ivy League play, 1-0. Seven different players scored for Penn, led by senior
Erin Barry with three goals. Barry was joined by junior
Zoe Belodeau with three points on two goals and an assist.
Senior
Gabby Rosenzweig got one step close to another milestone, registering a goal and an assist to sit three helpers shy of the career assists record.
In the net, sophomore
Krissy Kowalski and freshman
Kelly Van Hoesen split the work, combining for 18 saves.
Series History
The Quakers have played the Greyhounds 20 times, dating all the way back to 1983. Loyola holds the lead in the series, 16-4, with the last Penn victory coming on March 14, 1989 in Philadelphia, 6-5.
The most recent matchup was in the 2012 season during the NCAA tournament. A first-round showdown on the Greyhounds' turf in Baltimore had the host earning the slight edge in a 10-9 overtime thriller. To read the full recap of the game, click

Sibling Rivalry
There will be more than one Rosenzweig on the turf Saturday afternoon, as Loyola brings junior attacker Livy Rosenzweig to Franklin Field for a 'Battle of Sisters' on offense. The Rosenzweig sisters are two of the best Division I players in the country with highly-decorated careers at their respective schools.
The two have already earned recognition this season as Tewaaraton Award watch list honorees, a credit they both are familiar with over the past few seasons including both being Top-25 Semifinalists in 2019.
Gabby, for the Quakers, has a handful of program records, with her most recent being career points in the second game of the season against Johns Hopkins. She is closing in on the career-assists milestone, needing just three helpers.
Livy, for the Greyhounds, is coming off a sophomore season in which she set single-season program records for points (116) and assists (70), while being the only Greyhound for men and women to ever have back-to-back seasons of 100-plus points.
The two currently lead their teams in points and have helped the two programs start the year with 4-0 records. This will be the first time they have gone head-to-head on the collegiate field.
Simply The Best
After setting the program record for career points against Johns Hopkins in the second game of the season, Rosenzweig now eyes another program record. With 125 career assists, the senior is just three shy of eclipsing the mark set by Nina Corcoran (2013-16).
Great Expectations
The 2020 campaign begins with Penn ranked in multiple national polls. The Quakers enter the weekend ranked No. 9 in the IWLCA Preseason Coaches' Poll, No. 7 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Ranking, and No. 9 in the Inside Lacrosse Division I Media Poll.
National Notoriety
Rosenzweig and Barry enter their senior years with plenty watching. The pair both earned preseason All-America honors from Inside Lacrosse, with a third-team selection for Rosenzweig and an honorable mention honor for Barry. Both also landed on the Tewaaraton Award watch list, the third time for Rosenzweig, who has been in the award's final 25 each of the past two seasons, and the second time for Barry.
All-Ivy Returners
Penn returns seven of its eight All-Ivy selections in 2019, including unanimous first-team selections Barry, Rosenzweig, and fellow first-team selection
Zoe Belodeau. Second-team selections
Chelsea Kibler,
Abby Bosco, and
Mikaila Cheeseman, as well as honorable mention
Michaela McMahon round out the seven.
