PHILADELPHIA – Following a week-long hiatus from competition, the University of Pennsylvania wrestling team returns to the mats with an Ivy League doubleheader this weekend. A five-match Ancient Eight stretch will begin on February 1 in New England as the Quakers take on Brown at noon before traveling to Cambridge, Mass. to take on Harvard that evening.
Penn enters the weekend with a 3-4 dual record and a 2-1 mark in EIWA competition following a sweep of Binghamton and LIU in The Palestra two weeks ago.

Notes to Know…
- Three Penn wrestlers were ranked in the first NCAA Division I Coaches Panel: No. 8 Michael Colaiocco (125 pounds), No. 13 Anthony Artalona (157 pounds), and No. 19 Doug Zapf (141 pounds) each featured within the top-33 in each of their weight classes.
- In Penn's doubleheader against Binghamton and LIU, the Quakers won 17 of 20 bouts and scored a combined 72 points.
- With a 19-5 major against Binghamton's Kevin Kelly two weeks ago, Zapf moved to 18-5 on the season. After dropping his first dual of the season against former No. 1 Penn State, he has won his last five to move to 5-1 in duals. Additionally, Zapf is 9-0 against EIWA wrestlers and 4-0 against Ivy League wrestlers.
- Following a difficult start to the dual season, Carmen Ferrante has heated up with a win in each of his last four duals. Three of those four victories were bonus-point decisions, with a pair of majors to go along with a pin.
- Cole Urbas has locked up his position as Penn's starter at 197 pounds. After dropping a narrow, 2-1 decision against ODU's Timothy Young, the freshman has won his last five matches, including a pair of tech falls, to move to 5-2 in duals this season.
- Freshman Cam Connor has stepped in to start at 157 in each of Penn's last four duals. He has done exceptionally well, taking a decisive victory in each of those four bouts to move to 4-0 in duals this season.
