The Penn-Temple Series
• This is the 69th meeting between the Quakers and the Owls in men's basketball, with Temple holding a 48-20 lead in the series.
• Penn ended an 11-game losing streak to Temple last year with a 77-70 win at the Liacouras Center on North Broad. One week later, the Quakers defeated Saint Joseph's to clinch the outright Big 5 title.
•
AJ Brodeur had 16 points and
Devon Goodman added 15 in last year's victory. The wild card, though, was
Kuba Mijakowski who dropped 14 on the Owls.
• Penn's last win over Temple here at The Palestra took place almost exactly 13 years ago, as Mark Zoller hit three late free throws to give the Red and Blue a 76-74 win on January 24, 2007.
