  - The Tigers jumped out to an early 10-2 lead before Penn settled in and scored the game's next seven points to close within 10-9. The first half lived up to its heavyweight billing with both teams issuing runs back and forth, before Princeton took a 33-30 lead into the break.
  - Princeton outscored Penn by 17 in the second half, though, to pull away to a 75-55 win at The Palestra, behind double-doubles from both Bella Alarie and Taylor Baur.
  - Kayla Padilla was terrific for Penn, scoring a career and game-high 27 points on 10-for-14 shooting, including 4-for-7 from three-point range.
  - Tori Crawford added quality production off the bench with a career-high 13 points and eight rebounds while Phoebe Sterba joined the duo in double figures with 11 points, six boards and two assists.

Defensive Mentality
Penn ranks fourth in the country in scoring defense, allowing just 50.2 ppg through the first 12 games of the season. One key attribute to that number is the Red and Blue's ability to turn opponents over. The Quakers are 25th in the nation in turnover margin (+5.42) and have forced 20 or more turnovers five times this year, including 27 against Stetson, the most under McLaughlin. Teams are shooting just 32.8 percent against Penn, the sixth-best mark in the country.

Sharing, Not Careless
The Red and Blue has created a lot of its offensive production through its passing. Penn averages 17.2 assists per game, the 24th-best total in the country and best among the Ivies. Conversely, the Quakers have turned the ball over just 12.2 times per game, 12th in the country, leading to the ninth-best assist/TO ratio in the country (1.40). Kendall Grasela is the straw that stirs the drink, ranking eighth in the country is assist/TO ratio at 3.00 and 59th nationally in assists per game (4.8) - both totals lead the Ivy League.

Padilla's Performance
With a 27-point game against No. 25 Princeton, Kayla Padilla set a career high and eclipsed the 20-point mark for the seventh time this season. Following Saturday, Padilla was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the fifth time; in addition to five rookie awards, she has garnered a pair of league Player of the Week awards, a Big 5 honor and was named a USBWA National Freshman of the Week.
